'A tribute to all our servicemen and women, and have awareness to PTSD.'"

The independent film Night of the Starlings is filming in Madrid this month, directed by a Santa Fe Community College film student with nearly all cast and crew based in New Mexico.

Night of the Starlings is the latest of Albuquerque-based Jerry G. Angelo’s RokitPig Entertainment productions.

“I’ve been in Albuquerque my whole life,” said Angelo, whose RokitPig has offices in Albuquerque and Los Angeles.

The tri-lingual story stays true to New Mexico’s cultural mix of Hispanic, Native American, and Caucasian cultures. The film stars Lauren Marshall (“The Courage to Hope”), Aubrey Trujillo (“Coyote Cage”), Mikie Beatty (“NCIS”), Sophia Meneses Ortega, and will be directed by Betsy Burke (“Teardrop”). It is produced by Rokitpig Entertainment (Jerry G. Angelo) in association with Outskirts 66 Films (Burke) and KeyVision Productions (Fritz Eberle).

Word has come across our desk that Lauren Ashley Carter (Jug Face, Darling, The Woman) and Chase Williamson (The Guest, Bad Match, John Dies at the End) have joined the cast of writer/director Tom Botchii Skowronski’s latest thriller.
